3 Types Of Vacuum Pumps
There are three main types of vacuum pump which are categorised as;
- Momentum Transfer – These pumps generally use high speed blades to draw air or gas from a particular space
- Entrapment – A technique for capturing gases
- Positive Displacement – This is based on expanding a cavity to encourage air or gas to enter the space. Once it has entered the space the cavity is sealed and the air or gas is released elsewhere (usually into the atmosphere)
