Last week we attended our second annual Made in Yorkshire Exhibition at the impressive Centenary Pavilion on Elland Road, Leeds. ACE have been Gold Members of MiY for close to three years and the exhibition is certainly one of the highlights of the calendar for most members.
ACE on stand 58!
After months of planning and a late night of setting up the day prior, thanks to the dedication of our Sales Team, it was exhibition day. The ACE Group stand was well positioned in the centre of the Pavilion and featured a working air conditioning unit to keep any visitors cool, a Gardner Denver PureAir Oil Free Scroll Compressor, an ACE brand compressor, newly launched at the exhibition, and a Batak Reaction Game, with our highest scoring visitors being in with a chance of winning a gin hamper or another boozy prize!
After the exhibition opened at 8am the stand was soon busy with visitors and other exhibitors wanting to know more about ACE Group products and services and of course eager to try their hand at our reaction game.
The stand was well manned by our Managing Director, Mark Peacock, Group Sales Manager, Chris Hyde and members of our Sales Team, Cool & Heat Contracts Manager, Josh Riley, Marketing and Health, Safety & Standards Manager, Hannah France and Chris Camsell, a representative from Gardner Denver.
Reaction Game Success
Into the afternoon the exhibition became increasingly busy and our team had the chance to speak to many representatives from companies not just from Yorkshire but all over the country. It was a hugely positive networking experience for all parties.
The competition was hotting up on our reaction game too with the winner due to be announced before the show closed. In the end though there was no contest with a clear front runner from early on. With a huge 50 hits, a representative from the Klueber Lubricants Stand took home the grand prize of a gin hamper and the added bonus of the Batak Champion title.

ACE has found being part of the Made in Yorkshire family invaluable, particularly in opening new lines of conversation with other companies in the Yorkshire area and beyond. The Exhibition is certainly a highlight for us and we have hugely enjoyed the opportunity to showcase our products and services for a second year.
