On Your Bike For Cancer Research UK…

With the advent of the pandemic, many charities have had to be innovative and think up new ways to encourage safe and achievable fundraising events. Cancer Research UK’s Cycle 300 Challenge is the perfect example – participants joining the Challenge can choose their own route, set their own pace and complete the miles on their own or with friends and family.

300 miles is roughly the distance from London to Paris, so our Martin Wardle is getting on his bike in September to help make a difference, answering the Cancer Research UK call to ‘make your miles matter!’

This is a great inclusive challenge – it doesn’t have to be done in one go. You can rack up the miles by deciding to cycle to work in September, by organising fun rides, by leaving the car at home and deciding to get fit on a bike. Indoor miles count too!

Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading independent cancer charity, supporting 50% of all cancer research in the UK and funds scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer sooner. The charity also provides vital cancer information to the public. Cancer Research UK has a goal to ensure 3 in 4 people survive cancer by 2034.

We’re encouraging our customers and suppliers to get involved, too. If you’d like to donate, Martin’s fundraising page can be found here.

If you’d like to take part, you can sign up for free at Cancer Research UK.
